Ritual is a tool we humans use to reorder our minds. We use it all the time – it’s a pretty basic tool.

Ritual is a learning and teaching tool employed from small kid time forward.

We use it so often, we don’t always recognized it for such, and usually we don’t know how it works; but it does.

It has been fascinating for me to learn something about it, experience it in action, and figure out a lot more about it. I would like to share what I have learned, and learn more.

It is often used to influence the minds of people without their consent or knowledge – or with partial consent and partial knowledge.

It is used to influence minds to the extent of modifying behavior.

I do not trust random people to attempt to reorder my mind without my knowledge or consent. I seek to identify and forestall such attempts.

I seek to identify the effects of such reordering in my own mind and do my own reordering.

I am willing to enter into ritual that can be expected to expose my mind to reordering when I can do so with informed consent and with adequate trust.

I am interested in identifying a wide range of common rituals by category for more nuanced evaluation.

I enjoy and benefit from ritual appropriate to my self.

I am interested in identifying the variety of tools of ritual by category.

I am fascinated by how the mind works.
